Catholic and Loving It!

A Parish Mission for Difficult Times

These are the times that try the trust and faith of many.  When the Church and the faith of our people are under fire, where can the members of your parish find the reason and opportunity to celebrate the Joy of being Catholic?

This Parish Mission is a pause in the life of the parish to remember with gratitude the great gifts of our Catholic wisdom tradition.  The purpose of this Parish Mission is to restore hope; to reframe perspectives and to renew the enthusiasm of the faithful to re-engage the mission that Jesus has entrusted to his people.

This is a unique mission opportunity because it tackles today’s issues head on.

The presenters, all members of the Diocesan Disciples in Mission team, bring their ministry of service, family and community experience to share with your parish to help them stay connected or reconnect to their faith in a new and dynamic way.

This powerful Parish Mission will help your parishioners reconnect with the spirit and truth of our faith. It will help them to refocus their priorities and re-energize them to meet the challenges of being Catholic in today’s world. The Diaconal Mission Service Team will do this by renewing and updating old mission traditions and by offering:

  • Homilies at all Sunday Masses
  • Prayer Service and Conference with faith sharing at each session
  • Formation and Faith Sharing Spirituality
  • Following the parish mission, the team is available for one week of follow-up with your parish leaders.

Sunday: Restore: “Houston, We Have a Problem”

Monday: Reframe: Do Your Inner Work

Tuesday: Renew: Life is Too Serious not to Celebrate

Wednesday: Re-engage: Catholic and Living It

This mission opportunity is being offered to the parishes in the Diocese of Norwich Connecticut during the season of Lent.
